The look and feel of the glasses are phenomenal. They stay on without slipping and they are sized perfectly. I have no problem with the quality of the glasses. What I do have a problem with is the additional $15.00 for a modern style case. There are no photos on the site to show what the cases look like. So, I had assumed, that it would have been a period style case to go with the style of the glasses. Instead, I received a standard hinged case that I have at least half a dozen of from prescription glasses and sun glasses that I have previously purchased. I'm extremely happy with the Battlefield McCallisters - Civil War Era Eyeglasses Frames. I can't wait to have my prescription lenses installed.
Glass frames are absolutely fantastic. I have just ordered my prescription lenses to be placed into them. They are a fantastic look. Nothing that you’ll see in the stores. The silver gleam in the sun. I’m very happy with this purchase.
Almost 3 years with these frames now and I’m still very pleased with them. I will be replacing the progressive lenses shortly as I might need a prescription update. Other than that they are just as good as when I first got them. I see a post expressing concern that they won’t take prescription lenses well. I can confirm that is not so. I also see a post complaining that they lack historical accuracy size wise. Perhaps so but then again if they were they likely wouldn’t fit you for reasons already explained elsewhere!
Once again, many thanks Focusers. 🥸
I am having lenses fitted, however the optician felt the glasses were flimsy and may break in the process.
I was surprised that the arms were not bent so it is difficult to retain them in place.
I liked the style and shape of the glasses but am unsure whether they will stand up to being worn constantly
