Best I’ve ever had

I wanted rimless glasses and I wear cable temple Rayban sunglasses so they don’t slip off. I searched and found very few. Then one day Focusers came up. I wasn’t sure because they aren’t a major brand that eye docs sell or you see in your search. They met my requirements, rimless, cable temple and the old classic look. I bought just the frames, but they needed to be wider so not to press in on the sides of my temples. My eye doc wasn’t sure if they could make them wider so I sent them back to Focusers because they have the option of making them wider. Once I received them I couldn’t believe how well they fit and how comfortable they were. I’ve worn glasses for about 40 years and these are the best glasses I have ever owned. I have property and work outside all the time. I’m going to buy a second pear with metal rims and transition lens to wear around the property so the lens are protected, I don’t have change to sunglasses and they won’t slip off while sweating outside. I will never buy another brand of glasses.

Loved them - they didn't always love me

I had a similar problem to another reviewer - almost like a burn on my skin at the temples and behind the ears. My dad had a similar issue with metal next to his skin - he couldn't even wear his gold wedding ring. I wore these glasses for a number of years and loved them - very sturdy, looked great, but I could never resolve the skin irritation issues. The suggested clear nail polish on the inside temple areas of the ear pieces and the use of clear plastic aquarium pump tubing helps, but the tubing gets grotty after awhile and the polish wears off. Clearly a skin reaction to the metal - I've found I can only wear stainless steel or titanium next to my skin (and like dad, I can't wear my gold wedding ring). I would recommend these to anyone who doesn't have this allergic reaction to metals against their skin.

Mixed feelings

Firstly, let me be clear that I very much like the design and look of these glasses. When I had my local optometrist make lenses, I had them make them a little bit bigger, since I, too, found them to be a bit small. The biggest problem I have is with the metal. I develop skin problems. Where the arms touch the side of my face and behind my ears, they cause a sort of infectious wound. However, this may be unique to me. Historically, I've worn gold filled frames, but Berkshire Chase is currently on hold due to the pandemic, and I needed new glasses now. At any rate, rather than ditch these frames, I've covered the curly cable with rubber and I cover the inside of the arm with clear nail polish every few weeks. C'est la guerre.

Very disappointed

I had really big expectations for these glasses. The packaging was messy and the glasses very small. The curved cable could barely fit me, and I have a very small face. The lens are very small and look bad in my face. The quality of the glasses are pretty good but for the money I paid, I really expected better and I am disappointed. I wish they’d put pictures of a person actually wearing these, so what I wouldn’t have ordered them.
