Classic Enhanced Oval Tortoise Shell Frames
While we were securing the right to distribute the fine quality eyewear products offered by Peabody-Pierce, we posed a question: Of all the frame styles that the proprietors of Peabody - Pierce offered to their elite clientele, did they know of one frame that was the clear, standout favorite of the upper class, or at least those chaps and ladies who transmitted the telltale markings of having been well bred? Without a moment’s hesitation, our new found friends led us to a stately oak display cabinet in the front of their shop housing these magnificent old-school frames.
Peabody-Pierce #8 frames are often seen in dining halls & campuses of Oxford and other universities.
Peabody-Pierce #8 frames may remind you of Focusers' best-selling Governor's Poor Boy frames. Though there's a strong resemblance, these frames sport larger and slightly thinner rims, with a prominent double-arched bridge. Having said that, these frames – similar to our Poor Boys – are also favored by professors and students of the finest British schools. Conservative yet very stylish, these frames lend an air of academic authority and command respect.
