Beautiful Zyl Resin Frames inspired by Hemingway's WW1 love story.

A Farewell to Arms movie poster with Helen Hayes and Gary Cooper

Published in 1929, Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms was set in WWI. The protagonist, Frederic Henry, was an officer in the Italian Ambulance Corps. This love story centers on Henry's romance with Catherine Barkley, as well as the "war is stupid" theme that runs through much of Hemingway's work. Henry was arrested by the Italian Police, but escaped death by jumping into a river. The book, though grim, also communicates a sense of Italy and the artistic and creative soul of the Italian people. Focusers named these frames the "Farewells" because though serious, they too reflect the artistic and creative soul of the wearer.

A film version of Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms was released in 1932.

The Farewells, with their distinctive Italian design are bold and sensitive; and like its name sake, a stand out best seller. The frames come in two colors, enamel black and enamel tortoise, made of high quality Zyl. In the fabrication process a gleam is embedded that is captured in both the dark top and the crystal clear bottom. The frames shape the face and allow the wearers expressive eyes to be highlighted. These frames are perfect for those that have been told that they have beautiful, expressive and dramatic eyes.
